Data Recovery

Data recovery is a process of retrieving inaccessible, lost, corrupted, damaged or formatted data which is not accessible in a formation way from storage like hard disk drives, solid state drives, USB drives, DVD drives, CD drives and any electronic devices which may have digital information.

The most common data recovery scenario involves an operating system failure, malfunction of a storage device, logical failure of storage devices, accidental damage or deletion, etc. (typically, on a single-drive, single-partition, single-OS system), in which case the ultimate goal is simply to copy all important files from the damaged media to another new drive.

Data gets lost, deleted and formatted due to circumstances like virus attack, accidental deletion etc. In these cases, data recovery software is a type of software that enables the recovery of corrupted, deleted or inaccessible data from a storage device. This software checks, scans, identifies, extracts and copies data from deleted, corrupted and formatted sectors within the storage device.
